Jenny Burds, DNP
Jenny is a family nurse practitioner and owner of Burds Family Practice here in Peosta, IA. She has 25+ years of experience in the healthcare field with the past 10 years as a nurse practitioner.
She got her degree at Clarke University, and knew she wanted to work in a community that felt like family.
She loves helping each and every patient and family every day. She is beyond grateful for the staff she has hand selected to make the clinic even better.
When she is not at the clinic, she loves being active with workout classes, traveling, and experiencing the world.

Channah Chase, DNP
Channah recently graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Clarke University. She brings us over 8 years of nursing experience and caring for people of all ages!
She has always strived to do more for her patients, which has driven her continuing education.
She enjoys working at Burds Family Practice, because of the close knit and well functioning team & the amazing patients.
Outside of caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. They are avid outdoor lovers and spend most of their time on the river.

Kiesha McGranahan, NP
Kiesha completed her master’s as a family nurse practitioner at Maryville University. She comes to Burds’ with several years of experience.
She loves that Burds Family Practice is patient centered and community focused. It is a small scale practice where the team can provide individualized and personalized care.
When she is not working with patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and fishing together.

Allie Morris, CMA
Allie is a certified medical assistant and joined the clinic as soon as the building opened. Allie is also our clinic manager and assist with all areas of the practice.
She is a graduate of NICC's medical assistants program.
Allie functions as Dr. Burds' assistant by getting patients roomed, drawing blood, giving injections, and returning calls and results.
Allie is grateful for the relationship the team has with each other in the office and all the great patients she gets to see everyday.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, spending money, and floating in the pool.

Jaiden Tigges, CMA
Jaiden is a graduate with a degree in Medical Assisting from NICC. She works alongside our DNP’s assisting with anything that is needed from preparing for appointments to taking initial appointments with new patients.
She loves that we are local with our patients right here in the community. We see them out and about and care for their entire families. She also enjoys her coworkers as they are always having fun with one another in the office.
When she is not working at Burds Family Practice, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and shopping!

Bobbie Kramer, Medical Receptionist
Bobbie, our receptionist, comes to us with many years of experience behind a clinic desk.
She is your first point of contact, whether on the phone or when you walk through our doors.
She is truly the jack of all trades. We are confident that without her the office would not run as smooth.
Her favorite thing about working for Burds Family Practice is empowering women and patients each day.
When she is not managing the office, she loves to be her family and friends biggest cheerleader!
You will rarely see her without a smile on her face!

Trish Hohnecker, Director of Revenue Cycle
Trish is our Director of Revenue Cycle and comes to us with over 30 years working in Revenue Cycle in the medical field to include all aspects of billing and coding, AR, insurance policies with previous management experience.
She loves working for Burds Family Practice because the entire team is passionate about caring for families with empathy and professionalism. She also loves that her contributions are valued and she can ensure a smooth patient financial experience.
She also spent 15 years as a volunteer Paramedic for Centralia Peosta EMS/Fire.
When she is not making sure the financial experience is smooth for our patients, she enjoys spending time with her two grandsons, traveling and camping with her husband, Greg, spending time with close friends and relaxing with a good book.
